KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. 1/4 Stater (Gold, 11 mm, 2.18 g, 12 h), Pella, struck under Philip II or Alexander III, circa 340-328. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Bow above club to right; below, trident head to right. Le Rider 73 (D50/R36). SNG ANS 224. A well struck and nicely centered example. Minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
